confirmed with Inkscape 0.46+devel r21615 on Mac OS X 10.5.7, XQuartz 2.3.3.2

to reproduce:
1) create object
2) make bitmap copy, select bitmap copy
3) Extensions > Raster > Contrast… > check 'Live preview'
   or: Extensions > Raster > Blur… > check 'Live preview'
4) Inkscape crashes
