Comment 41 for bug 187290

With the patch in https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/187290/comments/39 the python extensions work again on Vista SP1.

There is i minor issue when applying the patch after the other .46 release patches has been applied, the file io/sys.h conflicts on the line
+#include <glibmm/spawn.h>
But just selecting <use text block from "mine" before "theirs" on the red line in Tortoise Merge fixes the conflict.
Be careful if you try to apply the patch from the command line.
