We can't easily implement either the suggestion to include whether updates are available or whether the version is the most recent version of Ubuntu or not, because those are both things that change during the lifetime of an Ubuntu system and the help system that Ubuntu uses doesn't allow us to plug it into external systems and dynamically update its content.

However, I've committed a fix to our branch with amended wording and information about the support period.
