I found a workaround at http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=43962&p=252863.

After you run this, gwibber will start.

dbus-send --session --dest=org.desktopcouch.CouchDB \
   --print-reply --type=method_call / \
   org.desktopcouch.CouchDB.getPort
