I tested it and it inhibits the screensaver in fullscreen mode only? Why do you think it affects non-fullscreen playback too?

org.freedesktop .ScreenSaver is outdated and does not work. The SessionManager is used by gnome itself (by http:// git.gnome. org/browse/ gtk+/tree/ gtk/gtkapplicat ion.c#n1412).
