Upstream libotr has already addressed the vulnerability, so any attempts at this should be sure to implement the latest version without the memory bug.

@Andre Klapper: All I asked for was a quick tutorial on how to build it. However, as the years have continued to go by, I am now uninterested and have stopped using most GNOME telecommunication products completely due to lack of documentation and security. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
