Comment 75 for bug 349519

I registered here just to be able to post this comment. I don't know much about what you guys are saying. Most of it is a little to technical for me ( I just started using the terminal the other day) but I was having the same problem that was posted at the top of this thread. All I could see of my desktop was the wallpaper and any folders i had on the desktop. I thought I was screwed so I scrolled all the way down to see if there was a solution yet and I found Michael Fox's command there and decided to give it a try. Now my machine is back to normal and I don't think I'll be trying to switch back to UNR interface for a while. Thank you so much Michael!
