You are of course right; sorry. I did not properly scroll the screen up. Even so, the amount of data transfered was not even close to the size of the files changed.

I am branching the copy now; it is already hanging for about an hour (with 100% cpu) at:

without any progress (a fully local action!?). The progress bar itself is not moving at all (the - stays a -)

I did an strace on the process, it seems to be reading files only (very slowly).

I will return as soon as the branch completes (if at all) 8-(
