Confirming, trying to merge mesa is a real pain, meld keeps crashing in the background all the time. Frontend stays running most of the time, but the merging process can easily get messy.

I just tried the test case in the upstream bug report and I can confirm that this bug is still present in meld 1.2-0ubuntu1 in Jaunty.
