Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager-core

When I try do-release-upgrade on ssh session appears:

Lendo cache
Verificando o Gerenciador de pacotes
Continuar executando sob SSH?
Continuar [sN]

This is a prompt, in brazilian portuguese that ask a confirmation about run the upgrade-manager on ssh session. In the end:

Continuar [sN] (Continue [yN]), 's' is 'sim' (yes) and 'N' is 'não' (no). When I try to confirm using the prefix of my language (s) the prompt get a cancel signal.

I only can confirm the prompt when I type 'y' (for yes) like this:
Continuar [sN] y [enter]

It probably a issue for the translation team.

This doesn't sound like a problem in Launchpad. It's either a problem with the software (update-manager, I assume) or in the pt_BR locale.

Andre, it isn't necessarily a problem with translation. When I say "pt_BR" locale, I mean the actual /usr/share/i18n/locales/pt_BR (look at LC_MESSAGES section). However, if that is correct, it's probably an issue with how the question is asked in update-manager (i.e. it's not really using appropriate APIs that make use of this locale-provided information), or with how that API in glibc is implemented.

Hi Danilo, and who can see if is using appropriate APIs?

I have checked this yesterday with a Brasilian translator (zehrique), and we concluded that this is fixed.
