Entering a product name at a package bugs page search doesn't offer the product - searches are highly contextual

Bug Description

While at <https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gaim/+bugs>, Gerhard entered "launchpad" in the search field and expected to get access to bugs about the Launchpad product.

Perhaps if a search term matches an existing product name, this could be presented as a "Were you looking for __bugs in foo__?" link. This would probably need a blacklist of products that had very common words as names.

(Gerhard tried a similar tactic at <https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/+package>, entering "launchpad" into the "Linux Distribution" field. This is covered by bug 3019.)

Sorry, I have no idea what you're trying to say here.
1. What are you trying to find?
2. What is the URL of the page where you're trying to find it?
3. What text are you entering?

Hello,

1. I'm sorry to be confused about malone. I tried to fuind a bug filed
against launchpad, and I was in the bug site of gaim. (see png for
etails).
2. https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/+package
I put launchpad in distribution, because there is no package called
"launchpad" in ubuntu. No obvious help on this topic.
Sourcepackage for launchpad?
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gaim/+bug/701
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gaim/+bugs?field.searchtext=launchpad&search=Search
like I mentioned above, this happened because I was in gaim/+bugs, and I
assumed that the searchfiel works for every bug and therefore also for
bugs in launchpad.
3. launchpad

I'm sorry for the confusion, but It seems to me, that I need a little
help page to use malone.

Regards

Gerhard Gaußling

I think this bug will effectively be dealt with the Guided Bug Form, which Brad mentioned in bug 3620, and has suggested he will work on soon. Is there a bug filed on that?

As far as I can tell, the guided bug form has nothing to do with this bug. This bug is about actively searching for bugs, not about reporting them.
