Thank you for reporting this issue. Does this happen with all .ogg files or just one? I can not reproduce it using Xubuntu Lucid with aobut 60 .ogg files.

If it's just one, could you attach it to this bug report? Thanks!

It seems to be just one file, and it's a video.

I am able to confirm this bug report using the provided file. Thank you very much for attaching it.

Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

Hi again,

Could you install the following package from my ppa, on lucid?
 - i386: https://launchpad.net/~mrpouit/+archive/ppa/+files/thunar-media-tags-plugin_0.1.2+svn-r04939-0ubuntu4~ppa1_i386.deb
 - or amd64: https://launchpad.net/~mrpouit/+archive/ppa/+files/thunar-media-tags-plugin_0.1.2+svn-r04939-0ubuntu4~ppa1_amd64.deb

And retry with several ogg files (valid audio ones, as well as the video file attached here)? I think it may fix your crash, and hopefully, still display tags for valid files... If it's the case, I'll upload it to lucid. Thanks!

It looks good to me. I ran through many audio .ogg files, everything from pop, jazz, classical, country, religious and never had a fail. I also checked the attached video file, and the audio tab no longer shows up for it, which stops it from crashing.

Oh, I guess I should include that the testing was done on Lucid Lynx, up-to-date as of 2010-03-07 at 02:00 am GMT. This system is a i386 with 1.5GHz cpu, 1GB RAM, NVidia 6200 video card with 256MB memory.
