Bug Description

mixer_applet2 allows changing the volume using the mouse wheel on the status icon. The new indicator-sound does not (the user must click on the indicator icon, hover the second menu line and then, eventually, scroll).

This is an usability regression, from my point of view.

I believe there are changes to be done in the indicators library.

Requires a patch to either Gtk or libindicator. On the radar.

Could you also add back the middle click mute/unmute functionality that was lost when the old volume panel applet was replaced by the pulseaudio systray applet?

And please set a reasonable high wheel step size. I reported this for the old 'volume-applet' which now was patched a month ago to scroll step 5% (see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=607681)
