Bug Description
Binary package hint: gwibber
When pasting a URL into the post entry with url shortening turned on in the preferences, the pasted URL does not appear; instead, nothing appears while the upstream shortening service is contacted. This is confusing, because it looks like nothing's happened, which encourages you to paste the URL again. Instead, some sort of string should be inserted to show that the paste took effect but that the URL is currently being shortened...maybe "[url...]", or the Unicode character U+2328 KEYBOARD (⌨) or something.

(obviously once the remote service has returned, the inserted character/string should be replaced with the returned URL)
