Bug Description

Binary package hint: netbook-launcher

tgomas@eeepc:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
tgomas@eeepc:~$ apt-cache policy netbook-launcher
netbook-launcher:
 Installé : 2.1.12-0ubuntu3
 Candidat : 2.1.12-0ubuntu3
 Table de version :
 *** 2.1.12-0ubuntu3 0
       500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages
       100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

When the view of a category need a scrollbar, the icons grid is updated according to the available width, but the category height is not updated and therefore the last icons are out of the screen.

e.g.: on my asus eeepc 701 4G @800x480

If I set 6 icons in the accessories category they are perfectly displayed like:
ABC
DEF

If I set 7 icons in the accessories category they should be displayed like:
ABC
DEF
G
But with the 3rd row a scrollbar is needed and since there is no more available place for 3 icons by row they should be displayed like:
AB
CD
EF
G
Unfortunately the 4th row is not accessible with the scrollbar and what is displayed is:
AB
CD
EF

Confirming this bug, as well as several similar ones, like #435805, #473015 and #442079. They all seem to go hand in hand, as you can also see in the debates about being duplicates of each other.

Can you please try with last lucid version, adding this ppa: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-desktop/+archive/ppa and then upgrading to get last clutk?

There is a proposed patch which should fix that.
Thanks for trying. I'm putting the bug report as Incomplete waiting for feedback.
