The closest thing to a description I can give is that it most likely happened just as I opened About me in System Preferences. Has tried looking around in System Prefs a bunch of times after that and not had any trouble. Sorry

I opened the app, clicked around a little and closed it. It crashed on close. I didn't change any data.

To reproduce:
1. Open GNOME about me
2. Click to move cursor inside a text entry
3. Close window using X button on title bar

Crashes. Doesn't crash if the "close" button is pressed.

It appears that objects are destroyed before the UI causing a focus-out event
to access invalid memory.
