Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release: 9.10

ii pulseaudio 1:0.9.16~test4-0ubuntu6

Hello. I have been able to play analog sound with the right profile some time ago but now it seems that the Analog Stereo profile is gone and I can't use pulseaudio with my speakers. The audio is snd-hda-intel, linux version is 2.6.30.1.

You should be able to use pavucontrol to work around this issue.

Please try the pulseaudio version in the ~ubuntu-audio-dev PPA. Also (more
importantly), try enable_msi=1 for snd-hda-intel.

Please use "apport-collect -p pulseaudio 414182".

Now running the latest PPA pulseaudio with the snd_hda_intel msi thing. I will report if there are any problems. The apport thing didn't like the limited permissions I gave it and failed and I couldn't run it again.

I might suffer from a similar bug. Since pulseaudio 1:0.9.16~test5-0ubuntu2 analog output is not listed.
But with 0ubuntu1 it worked almos good (except I had to select headphones to enable them)

I'm trying also with "options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1" in modprobe.conf

Please file a separate bug, and be sure to "killall pulseaudio &&
pulseaudio -vvvv". Please attach this output separately to the new
bug.

Which trick? (And what happened to the _separate_ bug? ;-)
