Bug Description

Selecting the first VT (ctl-alt-F1) results in flashing garbage on screen, and sometimes (one in three tests) a freeze.

Attached logs are from the first reboot after the freeze.

Btw, make sure to file against xserver-xorg-video-*, not xserver-xorg-driver-* (the latter are old, obsolete packages only present in launchpad to confuse people).
