Bug Description

Binary package hint: tracker

Affects: Jaunty, Intrepid, Hardy

The tracker configuration file $HOME/.config/tracker/tracker.cfg contains a mis-spelling of the Performance option "Divisions" (written as "Dvisions").

This is inherited from upstream in the file:

src/tracker-preferences/tracker-configuration.c

Another user reported that this mis-spelling caused memory consumption and excessive CPU usage in bug #199268. So far I've been unable to reproduce those issues purely as a result of the mis-spell.

Note: this will need an additional patch to fix-up the existing configuration file when each user's trackerd runs. I'll post additional patches later once I've finished liasing with upstream (trunk is now an entirely re-written code-base and they aren't doing fixes to 0.6.6)

This has been patched upstream? I couldn't find a bug report or anything upstream. Has this fix hit the repos yet? For now I'll mark this as patch-accepted-upstream, but leave it open until we know it's hit Ubuntu.
