Looks like a glibc crash according to the backtrace.

I would think this is a thread failure. While the crash is in glibc, I think the fault is likely with the caller of the threading goo.

Fair enough. If we knew how the crash happened I'd feel comfortable forwarding this upstream.

I have just booted my system, and then the crash happened.

Has this happened more than once or was it just a one-time crash?

More than once. I saw this crash four times.

Is this still an issue in the final version of KUbuntu 9.04?
