Daniel,
I noticed you package on REVU, after doing some research I found this bug.

For a new upstream release the package should be qtsmbstatus-2.1-0ubuntu1 so please update the changelog also you need to close this bug in the changelog

 * New upstream release (LP: #300445)

I would suggest that you make these changes and attach a debdiff to this bug and subscribe Ubuntu Universe Sponsors.

I am going to archive your package on REVU.

Thanks
Charlie

Hi,

You have made several changes to the packaging that aren't described in the changelog. This makes it difficult to review them. Please could you update the changelog saying which changes you have made and why?

Thanks a lot!

Looking at upstream changelog (http://code.google.com/p/qtsmbstatus/source/browse/tags/2.1/changelog), it seems there are new features and porting to new QT4, so this is probably worth a freeze exception (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess).

Unsubscribing sponsors. Please resubscribe once there is something for us to do (either if the FFe is granted or in the Karmic cycle of not)

Unsubscribe Univers sponsors yes, but why are you setting the bug to incomplete?

Even if Danial chooses not to go for an FFe on this package, (as far as I can tell) QtSmbstatus is not in Debian and will *not* be autosync'd from debian, so this is still a valid update request bug for karmic and should not be allowed to expire. Please correct me if I am wrong

Thanks

Charlie

Indeed, I would not do a requests for freeze exceptions and I will upgrade this package for the next ubuntu (Karmic).

It's due to GCC 4.4 transition, I'm on it.
