Sebastien, I can reproduce this at each invocation of totem on my laptop. Started happening today for some odd reason. Not sure what is happening, but each time I start totem I get:

...if run from a terminal and the application starts in fullscreen without a way to go back to non-fullscreen.

Let me know what information you need from me. I'll see if I can find what went wrong myself as well.

Oh, and I'm on intrepid. totem=2.24.3-0ubuntu1

Iiiinteresting. Turn off compiz, start totem, stop fullscreen, unmaximise, close totem, turn on compiz, start totem, VOILA!

upstream could use a clear description of steps to trigger the issue if somebody can figure what they are doing to get the bug
