Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

Release: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Evince version: 2.22.2-0ubuntu1
Poppler: 0.6.4-1ubuntu3.1

Steps to reproduce:
   1) Open the attached PDF.
   2) Go to the last page (#102), e.g. using the "Select page" widget.
   3) Klick once on the thumbnail scrollbar up arrow.

Result: You will see, that the thumbnails are toggeling between two states, giving a "shaking" effect.
Desired result: Thumbnails should just move a little bit down and stay still.

I know it's just a minor minor bug. But it's a moment that gives a user the feeling of buggy software, which should be avoided, not so?

Thanks for your activity!

thanks for the report, I don't get the effect you're seeing there, clicking once at the up arrow just move it a bit up and stay there no shaking here, could you try to reproduce it with Intrepid? are you seeing this behavior with another application like epiphany or gedit? maybe having a screencast would help to see what's the issue, thanks.

I can confirm this behavior with evince 2.22.2 on Ubuntu 8.04 amd64. The same happens if I use the mouse wheel instead of clicking the up arrow. I could confirm it in maximized view but not with smaller evince window.
