Bug Description

This is on Ubuntu Hardy.

This is what *should* happen (it works in symbol view in nautilus or at the desktop):
* Create a file, "foo.txt".
* Drag it, then drop it to the same window while holding Ctrl (cursor changes to copy cursor).
* A copy of the file, "foo (copy).txt" is created.

This is what happens in list view:
* The cursor changes to the copy cursor (plus sign) when Ctrl+dragging.
* When you drop the file to the same window, nothing happens.
* When you drop the file to the same folder open in another window, nothing happens.

This is not a duplicate of Bug 61237. This has nothing to do with not finding a spot suitable for dropping a file what Bug 61237 is about.

Well the nautilus list view D&D is known to be broken since a couple of GNOME releases, anyways, feel free to forward this upstream at bugzilla.gnome.org, leaving this as incomplete until that, thanks.

I reported it upstream: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=549437
so i'm setting the status back to "new" until someone at gnome confirms it.
