Bug Description

While partitioning a drive manually in Breezy Preview, partman displays a
mountpoint for eligible partitions (/media/hdxx) but neither adds them to
/etc/fstab nor creates the mountpoint in the filesystem.

I've tried this several times now and appears to only provide the eroneous
information if the installer fails to partition the drive(s) for any reason thus
returning the user to the manual partitioning screen. The error then appears
when the user chooses to accept the current setup or changes drives that do not
have a mount point in the "/media" directory. At first glance, each drive has a
mount point listed next to it, but in this case the information is not true and
there is no mount point created. May not be a bug, perhaps just more thorough
error-handling?

Are the partitions in question by any chance NTFS?

No, they were FAT32. I have two HDDs, the second one has 1 NTFS partition
(HDD1) and 1 FAT32 (HDD2). The NTFS doesn't appear as mountable at all, for
good reason. But when I had this error, the FAT32 showed a mountpoint of
"/media/HDD2". I thought "That's what I wanted" and continued with the
installation, not making any further changes to the partition table. After
install, I noticed that it didn't auto mount my drive. I checked FSTAB and saw
no entry for it, so I made one. But there was no "/media/HDD2". I haven't
tried this with the latest release, were there any other changes made that might
have fixed this by accident?

Does this problem still exist in current versions of Ubuntu?

I haven't used the installer for 7.04. I'll attempt to recreate the bug this weekend.
