Bug Description

Please see the relevant courier-users thread here:

I see that hardy has 4.3.0, but not 4.3.1. Any chance of an upgrade before hardy's release? The relevant packages are courier-imap and courier-imap-ssl. I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 but plan to upgrade to hardy when it's released.

Thanks,

Theory

It looks there were pretty modest changes beween 4.3.0 and 4.3.1. It would seem pretty safe and, indeed, desirable to update, yes?

It's on my list to look at. I haven't got to it yet.

Thanks. Do you think you'll be able to get to it in time for hardy to drop?

Thanks, Launchpad Janitor. I don't use the courier package, however. I use courier-imap and courier-imap-ssl. Currently I use them in hardy, though I expect to upgrade to feisty soon. I'd love to be able to get my mail on my iPhone when that happened.

Thanks,

Theory

Courier is the source package that includes courier-imap. The package has now been updated in the current development release, which is where new versions are introduced. Since you didn't like Fix Released, marking won't fix since this won't get into Hardy.

I see, sorry if my response wasn't appropriate. I'm not all that familiar with how Debian/Ubuntu releases work.

So, given that, could you tell me how I can get this version on my box? Is it in backports or something?

Thanks,

Theory

I've gone ahead and requested it be backported and am subscribing you to the bug. Once you see it marked fix release, then it should be available in hardy-backports.
