Bug Description
I have a desktop PC (not a laptop) with an ATI 9600 XT video card (AGP card).
After clean install of Hardy beta it uses by default free radeon driver and Compiz; Normal effects work ok.
But Driver Manager (jockey I think) tries to install fglrx propietary driver when I click "Extra" effects. I cancel the installation of fglrx because it's not needed: Compiz worked well enough in Gutsy with radeon driver, both normal and extra effects. So I have no Extra effects :-( .
The PC is a desktop, not a laptop, so the graphics card is not blacklisted.
To sum up, Driver Manager (jockey) should not get in the way when I click "Extra" effects: the current radeon driver can handle them as it did in Gutsy.
Details of the graphics card:
jose@
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc M10 NQ [Radeon Mobility 9600] [1002:4e51] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
02:00.1 Display controller [0380]: ATI Technologies Inc M10 NQ [Radeon Mobility 9600] (Secondary) [1002:4e71]
(card has VGA and DVI connectors, thus the two lines).

Also, this bug could be a duplicate of bug #207474 (though in that bug computer could be a laptop instead of a desktop).
Indeed, I need to tell jockey that ati can do composite now.
