Binary package hint: linux-wlan-ng
In the newest p80211 modules, which we will soon get in Hardy, the card is automatically enabled when the modules are loaded and cards detected. For those who needs firmware image RAM loading, the scripts for loading will now run after the card is in the "enable" state which will block the loading.

The upstream change in the module source came in svn version 1850 (to be 0.2.9).
Here is a patch that includes the "disable" line from the mailing post above. It will sooner and later end up in the upstream repository, but we need to get this in as soon as possible since we sync the module source independently of the rest of the linux-wlan-ng package, and waiting for it to propagate through Debian might be too late for Hardy.
