No, that bug is on the wrong package. The patch attached previously needs to be applied to the tracker package.

OK I didn't notice that sorry !
How do you apply the patch ? Need to recompile ?

It's sad to say, but this version of Ubuntu is not fully functionnal ! F-spot is buggy like hell (with or without Compiz), Compiz causes some "flickerings" on fullscreen app, Rhythmbox is buggy with fading between songs enabled, deskbar tracker with evolution's mail... I know the developpers have lots of work to do, but at least they could released Gutsy later...

Should work.

I agree, the release does seem to be quite buggy, lets hope that for Hardy more bugs are fixed.

Hello !

Why there is no update to solve this problem ? Do we NEED to compile ? Ubuntu is used to be "user-friendly" isn't it ?

There are a lot of updates which change nothing for me (ok security as they say), THIS is an update interesting !

Hey there,

Actually it is long since fixed in the tracker repository[1] - for
that reason I marked the bug as 'fix committed'. Regarding the current
status - is 'fix committed' only applicable for bugs that have been
addressed in the ubuntu package?

Marcus,

Since upstream (i.e. you) triage these bugs it's ok for you to set them to Fix Committed (Fix Released would be set once the fix is in the repository).

However if someone wants to get the patch before the release it's ok if they set it to something different than Fix Committed so the sponsors look into it.

    - debian/patches/02_no_kde_autostart.patch:
