Load kernel driver (vboxdrv) during boot

Bug Description

virtualbox-ose-modules should provide an init script to load the kernel driver during boot.

I'll provide a debdiff shortly to do so, based on the upstream (innotek) init script (http://virtualbox.org/browser/trunk/debian/vboxdrv.init.tmpl).

This patch adds an init.d script and provides meta packages, as requested in bug 152015.

Re-opening.
You need to add the "#DEBHELPER#" marker to "debian/inst", so the init script actually gets installed by dh_installinit.

This affects loading the module after installation and during boot.

lupus, what exactly were you doing? Any chance that you had to reboot, because a new kernel got installed?

I've had problems with vboxdrv in Hardy. I can't modprobe the module: "FATAL: Module vboxdrv not found." However, I can "insmod /lib/modules/2.6.24-12-generic/misc/vboxdrv.ko" and it works fine.

Sorry, I'm closing this bug again, as it starts to get messy (with different issues and not enough info).
The original problem has been addressed.
Paul, your problem may be that the depmod call in the post installation script has failed. Please report a new bug report with more information, if this is a problem still. Thanks.
