Bug Description

As requested in bug 82721 and specified in https://blueprints.launchpad.net/rosetta/+spec/export-all-templates-to-tarball we have added an option to download all translations for a product series in a single tarball.

We also need this option for source packages.

Wow, that's serious service. Thanks very much - I'll test this tomorrow morning.

I've tried this out. It's looking super cool. One thing is that it's
downloading translations for templates which have been hidden or
renamed in Launchpad.

For example, from the gutsy/+source/ubuntu-docs translations, I'm getting:

gnome/aboutubuntu
ubuntu/about-ubuntu and
ubuntu/aboutubuntu

Most of the translations appear to be in the last one. Ideally I would
be getting all the translations in a single directory:
ubuntu/about-ubuntu; which is the one that appears here:
https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/gutsy/+source/ubuntu-docs/

This may be because of the way ubuntu-docs has been hacked around in
Rosetta a bit to handle renaming of templates over different releases.

Thanks again for this feature, I'm delighted.

Glad you like it! If there are any remaining concrete problems with how this works, it may be worth filing a separate bug since this one is going to be closed.

Two improvements in RF 4952: a warning when a source package contains templates in multiple formats, and some optimization.

Matthew, I can see the "Download translations" link on eg. https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/+source/ubuntu-docs and I was able to ask for all translations to be exported. Can you please elaborate in how has this feature disappeared?

I can't see that link when visiting that page. You obviously have more permissions than me!

That's related to #209859 fix. It seems jtv restricted access only to translation group owner and translation admins, so I'm filing a new bug for this: see #282695 (I've suggested a possible workaround there as well, so if you are fine with that, let's do it).
