Bug Description
Binary package hint: desktop-effects
With recent updates to X it appears it may have broken the "legacy fullscreen option" under compiz. I'm using nvidia 7600gs with nvidia-glx drivers running steam via wine. Checkboxing "legacy fullscreen support" use to make the app full screen with out the gnome menu bar present. Since recent updates gnome menu bar stays present even though option is selected.
Users can recreate via installing wine and fullscreen app. Enable desktop effects and open the wine app. Gnome menu bar overlays on top of application. If user installs compizconfig-

A possible workaround (for karmic, at least) is to go to the Compiz Settings, enter the "Workarounds" section, and enable "legacy fullscreen support".
