[gutsy] tooltips take way too long to display

I have the same problem so I'm setting this to Confirmed. There is probably a gconf option but if so it should be changed to a shorter amount of time.

Looks like I can overwrite that by putting this in my .gtkrc-2.0:

gtk-tooltip-timeout = 500

Patch against trunk available upstream.

Is this really fixed? They still take long to display for me.

"Fix committed" means that the next time they (GTK) make a release, the new code will be in their source packages. We'll package them up and release them for Ubuntu.

GTK is still on 2.11. This fix will definitely be in by the 2.12 final release which will be included with Gutsy.
