Binary package hint: liferea

With the latest updates of liferea, the icon in the notification-area is not transparent anymore.

Yes, it's still there. However, Tsukasa is working on this (upstream), and this will be probably fixed in the next stable release (1.4).

This is not fixed when having the number of new items in the tray icon.

As a workaround, you can disable it, and it will be transparent again (after restarting liferea).

This patch fixes the transparency problem by switching from EggIconTray to GtkStatusIcon introduced in Gtk 2.10. This patch has been backported from trunk with minor changes to apply cleanly to 1.6.x.
