Comment 73 for bug 761409

For me, this bug has lesser significance because two major problems are solved in 11.10:
- printer icon is showing again in the indicator region, like it used to be, prior to 11.04
- update notifier icon (I forced this with gconf-editor) is not needed anymore, because this function is now handled by the new system-menu
