I also have a ATI Technologies Inc RS482 [Radeon Xpress 200M] on a laptop and have the same troubles.
However, as I turn the additional effects that require efficient desktop graphics cards still have about 60 FPS on the current desktop. If he switches to the second desktop is my card gets a "kick" and I have about 1200 FPS. I'm waiting, maybe someone will get the idea to the contrary.
