Comment 50 for bug 442441

Ok, correction to my latest post:

Problem is NOT due to the nvidia driver. I uninstalled it completely, and installed it manually from the nvida webpage.

No difference whatsoever.

I believe it just started when I upgraded to 10.04.

- dmesg does not show my touchpad now anymore, and it would do in 9.10
- xinput list does not list the device either
- sudo tpconfig tells me though:
Found Synaptics Touchpad.
Firmware: 8.96 (multiple-byte mode).
