I'm, not Chinese so I'm wondering it's a problem or not.

You are talking about the character selection if I understand correctly, this usually happens when you are trying to input single character. We mostly input pinyin combination for characters or words.

Other than that, I update the unity to 4.12.0-0ubuntu2, ibus can be activated from dash, but if you are trying to search application (e.g. 浏览 which means browse), the dash gives you Firefox browswer which contain 浏览 words, but also eog. I wonder how does eog being searched.

(and when I'm trying to save the screenshot which has Chinese character, the filename is not correct, which Chinese character being encoded )
