I also have this error message in Lucid Lynx. Steps to reproduce :
- Try to add network printer by selecting "Windows Printer via Samba". Put in a Samba workgroup (either non-existent or in my case existent).
- You see the error message

As a side note can anyone tell me where the firewall settings actually are in case this is my problem as I can't add a printer at present.
