Thank you for the update. I believe this report is actually a duplicate of bug 377977 after doing some research. It appears that all Epson scanners that are "supported" by a certain package are experiencing this issue, including your scanner. At this point, there is a workaround for USB scanners. Unfortunately, there does not yet seem to be a workaround for SCSI connected scanners. Thanks to your testing, I will be able to update the information on the initial report so it will hopefully get more attention from developers.
