Also affects me on a machine installed with Ubuntu Lucid Alternate AMD64 beta 1. On each start, the file /etc/resolv.conf is empty although dns-servers are correctly specified in /etc/network/interfaces. If I run "sudo ifdown eth0 && sudo ifup eth0", /etc/resolv.conf gets its normal content from /etc/network/interfaces.
