Comment 17 for bug 251709

Without knowing the details, I'm a little surprised this isn't a simple/quick fix. Since this a regression, can't we simply revert to the old way of doing things? Judging by the number of bugs duped to this one it seems to me like the negative impact of this regression far outweighs any positive impact from the code which introduced the regression (that we would be reverting in the "simple" fix).
