Thanks for referring. Probably you are right - at least partly.
But at least on of the issues ( mixing a mono signal out of left and right, as there is just a mono speaker inside) is special for this ACER One 522 device. It seems to be not possible to achive this by adjusting settings that are available on Gnome Desktop.
