After updating my kernel yesterday to 2.6.32 my machine would not boot today. I had even restarted it yesterday after the upgrade to be sure it was okay. It was nice having good sound for the day but now I had to boot into recovery mode 2.6.31 and go into synaptic package manager and uninstall the new kernel. So now I'm back to 2.6.31 and my sound is crackling and stopping once again. Arrrg.

I can not understand why the new kernel worked yesterday but not today? I even reinstalled it a few times just to double check.
