In my case the patch don't work.
I have a Philips PSC805, and the problem continues. In order to check, I have deleted the PulseAudio config files, restart my pc. I can play sound but just after moving the volume slider the bug appears, no apparent change.
I'm running Maverick with the last updtes. If you need some debug I'm able to provide it.
