I have formatted and installed 11.10...this bug not affect me now...

But I tried to follow this guid to fix ugly and big plymouth resolution

and when I shutdown, pc freeze!!!!! so I turn back pc and now I can shutdown, reboot, ecc...

So, I suggest to investigate in this direction....I think that the problem is near uvesafb/v86d module!!!!!!
