https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/756472 says that the Linux kernel since 2.6.37 has no /proc/acpi/thermal_zone, and instead it's now moved into sys:
# cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp 73500
That is consistent with what sensors shows (+73.0 degreed Centigrade).
That solves the /proc/acpi/thermal_zone problem, but the CPU is still kept too busy since 11.04.
