There's a patch that should fix this bug in 2.6.38.3 "ath9k: Fix kernel panic in AR2427". http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.stable/7414

I couldn't find confirmation to indicate that this patch was already pulled in to the Natty kernel, but it will definitely be there when it updates to 2.6.38.3 (see bug #761134).
