I'm running a:

 02:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)

And am seeing similar results. I did the workaround which seemed to help a fair bit last night, though the network dropped again this morning so I'm not sure if that's a solid fix. It seems more stable than before though.
