OK, I have tried both proposed and mainline (2.6.38-5) kernels. The problem is still present with both of them. I have tried to debug teh resume problem following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend, but I am not sure it gave me anything. Anyway I am attaching the dmesg.txt
